Mostly the Pedicuring is done in spas and health clubs, as a separate spa package along with Manicuring (yes, Walmart has pedicures available too). This is done by well trained professionals using the latest equipment and the latest techniques. The Pedicuring does not only keep your feet and toe nails beautiful but it also gives your feet much needed protection against diseases that attack the nails and the disorders that are associated with the legs, feet and the toe nails.  A regular pedicure also helps avoid common and uncomfortable problems like ingrown nails.

The Pedicuring involves the following actions firstly soaking and softening of the nails and cuticles.  This is especially important with toe nails as they can grow quite thick and hard making them almost impossible to cut.  This is followed by filing, which is the shaping of the nails to give an attractive look and fully shaped edges to the toe nails. This is done with the help of a metal file or a file board.  The next step in Pedicuring is the nipping of cuticle in which the excess of the cuticles found around the nails are neatly clipped and brought to shape along with the nails. Then the nails are washed in the next step of Pedicuring warm and soapy water is used to wash to the feet and the toe nails.
